01 / WORKFLOW

From design basis
to review-ready output.

Keep the key engineering steps connected in one deliberate workflow.

01

Define the basis

Set project details, materials and design conditions.

02

Build the geometry

Describe vessel components or import STEP geometry for suggested values you confirm.

03

Run code calculations

Review component calculations and the governing global MAWP.

04

Inspect and report

Explore the parametric 3D model and create an HTML calculation report.

02 / CAPABILITIES

Tools for the work
engineers actually do.

Focused coverage, with the calculation basis visible for review.

A / CODE CALCULATIONS

Pressure design

ASME Section VIII Division 1 coverage includes cylindrical shells, formed heads, flat covers, conical sections, external pressure/vacuum, nozzle reinforcement, minimum thickness, test pressure and MDMT. Global MAWP follows the governing component.

EN 13445 shell, head and test pressure calculations are selectable alongside ASME.

B / GEOMETRY & CAD

Parametric vessel model

Create a CadQuery/OpenCascade model with a live in-browser 3D preview. Export STEP or STL.

STEP import recognises shells, heads and radial nozzles, then proposes values for you to confirm. STL import is view-only.

VALIDATION APPROACH

Results you can
interrogate.

Independent verification against published worked examples produced by commercial pressure-vessel software. Deviations found were fixed and recorded. The suite also has 900+ automated tests.

Every assumption is written into the result.

SCOPE / LIMITATIONS

Know what the tool
does not do.

  • Not a certified or stamped tool.
  • Results are a preliminary engineering assessment and must be reviewed by a qualified engineer.
  • Appendix 2 flange design is not yet in the calculation pipeline.
  • FEA is not available.
  • Nozzle size catalogue values are not yet supplier-verified.

04 / FAQ

Clear answers.

Important details before you start.

Is it free?

Yes. The beta is free and you can open the app without creating an account.

Which codes are covered?

ASME Section VIII Division 1 calculations and EN 13445 shell, head and test pressure calculations. EN 13445 can be selected alongside ASME.

Is PV Suite certified?

No. It is not a certified or stamped tool. Results are preliminary and must be reviewed by a qualified engineer.

Can I import CAD?

STEP import recognises shell, heads and radial nozzles, then suggests values for you to confirm. STL is view-only.

What data do you store?

No account is required, so we do not collect personal account data. In V1, calculations are not stored server-side long-term.

Who builds it?

PV Suite is built by ZeysLabs. Questions? Contact us.
